Break off from your cares and labours. Make a little time for God and rest a while in him.
St. Anselm
Would you like to deepen your relationship with God? Would you like to encounter God in a personal way through the Scriptures? Would you like to learn different ways of praying? If your answer is yes, we invite you to sign up as a pilgrim on a Week of Guided Prayer.
Pilgrims are traditionally people who journey to a sacred place for religious reasons. During the Week of Guided Prayer, our participants are ‘pilgrims’ who are journeying to encounter God by praying with Scripture.
You will have a personal prayer guide to accompany you for a week as you embark on your spiritual journey and learn to pray using the Scriptures in the traditions of Ignatian Contemplation and Lectio Divina.
You will be given a scripture passage every day that you will pray with on your own, using one of the two prayer methods. Your guide then meets with you one-on-one for 30 minutes to hear about your prayer experiences and guide you each day.
The Week of Guided Prayer gives you an opportunity to go on a mini retreat without the need to go away or take leave from work. You will get to deepen your relationship with God while keeping to your daily routine.
